Home isn’t just a roof overhead; it’s our watershed, our community, our tribe, and our shared Mother Earth. Since 1970, my wife and I have made our home in the North Bay — first from San Francisco to Mill Valley to West Marin, Petaluma, Sebastopol, and for the last three years, Santa Rosa. And over a decade ago, for seven years, I was a programmer at KWMR in Point Reyes Station, sounding the alarm, trying to tell the truth about what we’re doing to the natural world — and what that means for our grandchildren and beyond. Then on KOWS Eco-Logic, I dug into modern systems on which we depend. Energy, biological resources, housing complexity, land use regulations, exploding technology — and ask how we’ve reshaped our lives within the global civilization. Our economic discourse will lean toward household challenges and big choices we face at home, in our communities, and in our local ecosystems.
